Who We Are

We were founded in 1987, as a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We organized to be an emergency source of help for a short term need for those who have lost their job, or have a need for temporary help. We assist by giving one food box per month as well as giving free clothing.

We also give monthly assistance to those who qualify for long term help. This is governed by government guidelines that we must follow. They also receive one food box per month as well as free clothing.

We give free food, clothing, furniture, and whatever else we have at the time, if a local family has lost their home due to fire.

We try to help people find employment whenever possible or point them to where they can get the education needed to secure a position.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the people of Hawkins, Texas, and the surrounding area, who qualify, to the best of our ability, with the resources we have available.

To be eligible for assistance, they must meet one of these qualifications:

  1. Have a Hawkins address.
  2. Live in the Hawkins school district.

Everyone is encouraged to shop in our thrift shops. All proceeds from these sales help fund the food bank effort.
